Secret Santa 2013!

My Secret Santa box came today!
On the 9th day of Christmas my Secret Santa sent to meeee.... WAY more than I deserved! So today I found out that the AH-MAZING and SUPER SWEET Jenn over on The Pouring Pot was my Secret Santa this year. I can't even begin to describe how thoughtful Jenn's gifts to me were. She put so much thought and effort into my box. All of the gifts were wrapped in pretty wrapping paper, even the super small ones, there were little notes on some of them, and even the box it came in had super cute cartoon kitty tape on it. She put in so much love in my box that I wanted to cry. I'm so touched by her wonderful presents to me and she spent WAY more than she should have. Jenn just has such a huge heart. I LOVE her to pieces and Jenn if you are reading this I don't even have the words to properly thank you enough. You were so generous to me and your box and little notes made me want to tear up and it sincerely touched my heart. THANK YOU SO MUCH Jenn and thank you so much for being such a truly great person and friend. So without further mushiness before I become a blob of Jell-O here is what she sent me...

Jenn certainly spoiled me ROTTEN!
As you can see Jenn totally went the extra mile. I was super surprised when I saw all of these and even more touched when I saw just how much thought she gave it. Everything here was things that I have said I wanted on the boards in different posts for who knows how many weeks or months ago?  Jenn has such a great memory and attention to detail. The first thing I noticed was this adorable little paper bow that actually unfolds and becomes a little note. The note she wrote me was so sweet and made me smile from ear to ear. I'm keeping it on my computer desk because I can't bare to throw it away just yet.
See the super cute bow and journal.
Then of course you can see this MASSIVE 1 pound chocolate bar. This may or may not be gone by Christmas... We will have to see how good I am and whether or not my mom gets into it too lol. Then there was this adorable little journal. It has different pages with this cute cartoon girl and her cat. I can see me plotting CBV orders in it already! Plus it is just my style everything from the colors to the girl.
Pretty much my same reaction.

And she threw in some Bath & Body goodies!
I have been wanting to try Melissa's Bath & Body line for awhile now and Jenn was sweet enough to gift me these three babies. I was so excited when I saw these! I love body butter but get it from a different company so hadn't ordered Melissa's because I wanted to use up the ones I have so you can imagine my joy when I saw the body butter and the cherry on top was that Jenn got it in Whistlin Dixie! One of my all time favorite scents that I waited to be added to the bath and body line specifically. I was so touched she remembered and then the warm and fuzzies continued when I pulled out the Sophie Belle body spray. I love Sophie Belle it is one of my favorite of the fruity floral mixtures and it is perfect for a perfume! If that wasn't enough to make me weep with gratitude she also gifted me the sugar scrub in another favorite scent of mine Pizelle! It smells like such bakery wonderful goodness and I know will be so amazing to use in a hot shower in these cold months! I honestly cannot even express how much these mean to me. The fact that Jenn took into account my favorite scents and in the exact products I had offhandedly mentioned in previous posts on the board. UGH I just can't express all of the love I am feeling right now!
I wanted to roll around with glee when I saw these.

As if all of that wasn't sweet enough...
Yep, to top it all off Jenn was so warm-hearted and charitable she even gave me a Glitter Candle in another one of my all time favorite scents Orange Vanilla Coffee. I'm not sure what glitter this is exactly. I think it may be Gem Blue or Aqua And Silver. It looks a lot like my gem blue glitter candle but it has more silver in it and is more sparkly so I'm thinking it may be aqua and silver. This picture does it absolutely no justice at all though it is super gorgeous and sparkly. Then you may be able to see it there at the bottom, my picture skills are less than stellar, but she also threw in a Blue Raspberry Slushie lip balm. Jenn must be a mind reader because I just placed an order the other day for a Green Apple lip balm, but I was so torn between getting the apple or the blue raspberry. It couldn't have come at a better time to because as most of you guys may know I accidentally washed 2 tubes of my Burts Bees in the washer and not having another tube of balm was driving me crazy!

Jenn spoiled me way too much! She is so considerate and gracious. My heart was truly touched by everything in this package. It wasn't just the amazing gifts she gave or the great amount that she gave it, but her touch and care are so evident in every little thing. Honestly Jenn I don't know how to thank you enough. I feel so lucky to have you as my Secret Santa and also to have your friendship. I'm so grateful to you.
I wish I could hug you right now Jenn!

Fortune Cookie Soap Scent Review: Summer 2013

FCS has finally launched their summer line!
I finally received my Fortune Cookie Soap order. I placed an order the night they launched their summer line and I'm really lucky that I ordered then because a few of the products have already sold out. Don't fear though they will restock them as soon as they can so the rest of you can also enjoy them. In my typical fashion I ordered 2 of the body butter sample packs so that I could test out each scent before committing to the full products. FCS released 8 new scents for the summer so I have them all here to describe for you guys. So let's get started...
The first pack along with my free sample of bar soap.
One In A Melon:
Color: Bright Vivid Pink
Scent: This smells IDENTICAL to a watermelon Jolly Rancher! It is unbelievable how authentic it is. If any of you have tried Zombie Treats from last year's Halloween Soap Box, you will have probably heard how that was often described as smelling like a watermelon Jolly Rancher. Well FCS has upped their game because this is the genuine article of watermelon Jolly Rancher dupes. It smells like I could actual bite into it. Super sweet watermelon hard candy fragrance right here. I think this might be my favorite scent out of the bunch this season.

Aquaholic:
Color: Teal Blue Green
Scent: This is an interesting mixture of pina colada and sun tan lotion with a faint background of what the beach smells like to me. The strength of the sun tan lotion smell is balanced out with the tropical and creamy pina colada mix. I get also get this very faint like sea salt air that keeps the scent from being to strong or too sweet. This is the perfect beach scent. It has everything that makes me want to sit in the sand on the beach and sip a cold fruity drink. I have to say this scent surprised me on how much I like it. I usually am not huge on pina colada or sun tan lotion type fragrances, but there is something about this that just works for me. If this were an actual SPF lotion I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. This is perfect for you beach lovers!

What? It's Five O' Clock Somewhere!:
Color: Cotton Candy Blue
Scent: This is supposed to smell like a fruity cocktail and it does. I can pick out a slight pineapple and maybe a small splash of some creamy coconut. However they aren't the main notes of the fragrance. This mainly just smells like a really well blended blue summer time cocktail. It is nice and sweet and a little fruity. I will say though that since my free sample was in this fragrance only in the bar soap that the body butter has a tad weaker scent than the bar soap has. The bar soap just has much more of a clearer and stronger scent.

Body Shot:
Color: Pinkish Purple
Scent: This is supposed to smell like raspberry lemonade and that's pretty much what it smells like. I think it is a bit heavier on the lemonade than the raspberry. This smells like a tall glass of the actual drink. I get the crisp fresh squeezed lemons with water and I also get the sweet hint of raspberries mixed all in there. I like this one, it isn't my personal favorite just because there are others in this line that I like best, but I will certainly be using this baby up. If you are a sweet lemon fan or really just looking for a unique summer scent than give this one a shot. (pun intended)
The second pack...
Where The Sun Don't Shine:
Color: Pale Pastel Yellow
Scent: A yummy blend of tropical coconut and bananas. This one is really nice for the summer. The two scents are equally balanced so you get both the creamy coconut and the sweet banana. I like the banana in this because it doesn't smell like that Runts candy banana. Instead it smells like a real mashed up banana mixed with some creamy delicious coconut. This smells like something I would either like to eat, or slather all over my body like a sunscreen. I'm really loving this one right now!

Do You Salsa Or Mango?:
Color: Pastel Neon Orange
Scent: You know it is funny when my mother and I first smelt this we both came to an agreement that it reminded us of those orange marshmallows you get on Halloween that are shaped like peanuts. I still stand by that description even though individually I can pick out the island mango with a hint of the lime, but honestly if I didnt know what was in this I would just think it smelt like a sweet orange peanut marshmallow. I know that sounds incredibly weird, believe me, but the mango in this isn't a sharp juicy mango it leans on the candy sweet side and I don't know what cilantro and chile smell like together on their own, but this scent is all light sweetness. I totally was not expecting this to smell like it does. Having said that however I actually like the scent even though I despise the peanut marshmallows to eat. Very nice and unique scent from FCS however I think people would like it more if it were re-named and added to the Halloween Soap Box.

Ice Cream, You Scream:
Color: Off White
Scent: Waffle cones...that is the first thing that comes to mind. This smells EXACTLY like a waffle cone that you put ice cream in. In fact I think the name and description on the site fits this to a T. I get a very authentic ice cream cone scent with neapolitan ice cream fragrance. Like I can smell the smooth vanilla/light strawberry/creamy chocolate ganache mixture in this. I will warn you this is a super sugary sweet fragrance so if you can't handle really food like sugary scents then I would say you might want to pass on this one. For everyone else though this is truly a fun and different twist on summer time scents.

Mother Pucker:
Color: Lime Green
Scent: This has been described as a lemon PEZ candy type of fragrance and I can agree to that only I would say it is more lemon smelling than it is candy like. There is this fresh zest lemon, with a slight almost clean smell that I'm guessing comes from the garden mint, and then there is this tiny hint of sweetness that keeps the scent from being too sharp like a sour lemon. This is a cool light lemon scent that is creative and interesting for summer. This is for you lemon lovers or for those of you who don't like too sweet fragrances and instead prefer more natural crisp and fresh fragrances. I can appreciate this one for what it is however I'm not big on lemon scents personally and I'm more into sweeter things so this one was probably my least favorite of the entire line, but I still liked this one.

I love all the scents from this release!
I have to say I liked this summer line a lot better than last summer's line, which is saying something because I really loved Pool Party, Summer Sweet Tea, and Pinky Swear. This launch however just seemed to have scents that were for everyone. There was sugary sweet Ice Cream, You Scream for food lovers, Mother Pucker for more fresh and natural scent lovers, of course there were the tropical fruity smells that are a must for this time of the year, and then there was even beachy and candy like scents. I have to say I just think the scents this time around were so creative and different while still staying in the seasonal bracket. Usually there is at least one scent that I don't like in all of the seasonal launches, however there wasn't a one scent in this line that I wouldn't use. They are all pretty great fragrances. I have to give FCS a round of applause for releasing a truly great batch of scents for the summer. I definitely recommend that you guys give a few of these a try because honestly these are just a great collection of fragrances. Anyways that's all for this season's scent reviews. If you liked this review then check back in fall when I will do another review of the fall launch. Until then take care everybody and don't forget the SPF!!

First Round Robin Haul/Review!

Pretty much my reaction when I opened the box...
Recently I participated in the Round Robin over on the Candles By Victoria forum boards called The Pouring Pot. If you don't know what a Round Robin is, basically one person starts a box full of scent shots that they are willing to trade. It usually consists of about 15 people who sign up. So the person who started the box will then mail it to the first person on the list. That person will take out what scents they want and trade it for some of their own that they don't. Whatever amount of wax you take out though you have to put back in. So you can trade a whole scent shot for a whole scent shot or you can trade a whole shot by putting back in two half scent shots. Once that person is done swapping shots they will send the box to the next person and so forth until the box is eventually shipped back to the person who started it. They will then be left with whatever is in the box. Pretty simple process really. This was my first time participating in such a thing and I had a lot of fun. Plus I had a lot of scents that I did not care for to trade. Surprise, surprise though, all the shots I took out were all food smelling lol!
First up is the cake category!
Country Coffee Cake:
Color: Orange Sienna
Cold Throw: I smell Victoria's coffee scent, which to me smells like generic instant coffee. It is still a nice coffee scent, but it's not a rich fragrant coffee smell like you get with Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts coffee blends. Then there is a base of pound cake. It is very subtle and not buttery at all, but you get that bakery cake smell (not to be confused with the vanilla cake smell like in Pink Cupcake). Mixed with the coffee and cake smell I get a hint of cinnamon (the baking kind of cinnamon not the red hot kind). I wouldn't say it smells exactly like a coffee cake, because it isn't as sweet or sugary cinnamony enough to be considered that in my book. But still it is a really yummy scent that is very close to real coffee cake.

Warm Throw: Smells exactly like it did on cold throw. You get the yummy (almost) real coffee cake scent mixed equally with Victoria's fresh brewed coffee scent. The scent throw on this one is really good because it is in that category of strong without being too strong. I feel like this would be a really good scent to melt in the mornings when you just wake up. A very nice and comforting fragrance.
CCC is a great scent to wake up to after a rough night.
Frosted Lime Cupcakes:
Color: Jade Green
Cold Throw: I for one have never had a lime cupcake, frosted or otherwise. So I cannot say if this smells like the real thing or not. I'm not even sure if there is such a real food or not lol. But I can say that this smells what I imagine a frosted lime cupcake would smell like. I get a mixture of lemony lime on top of a white cake base. I can almost smell a hint of those lemon sugar crystals that tend to come on lemon poppyseed muffins too. I think I would like this one more if they got rid of the lemon scent that is mixed in with the limes because lemony lime scents usually come out smelling like cleaner to me. This one does not smell like cleaner because of the heavy bakery notes underneath, but I'm just not a fan of lemons and limes mixed together. This one is nice though and it does smell like it's name implys. Maybe I should Google frosted lime cupcakes to see if they really do exist or not.

Warm Throw: I did finally get around to Googling frosted lime cupcakes and it turns out they do exist!! I seriously need to hunt down a bakery that sells them because I'm too lazy to actually bake them myself hehe. I was iffy about this scent at first because of the lemony lime scent which tends to remind me of cleaner, but the lemon scent completely disappered when warmed. What I got was a yummy vanilla cake smell mixed with sweet icing with just the hint of lime to give it a unique twist. The scent throw itself was pretty medium. I'd say that if you like cupcake/cake smelling fragrances and you are looking for something a bit different to change it up then you'd probably like this one.

Red Velvet Cake:
Color: Brick Red (Reddish Brown)
Cold Throw: Truth be told I don't usually care for Red Velvet Cake smelling things unless it is an actual Red Velvet Cake. To me anything else like soap, candles, or lotion in this scent always end up smelling extremely fake to me. When I saw this one I thought it would end up smelling like artificial chocolate cake like most of them do. But the first thing I smelt was actually ginger and nutmeg. So wasn't what I was expecting. On closer inspection underneath the ginger and nutmeg I can smell the faintest hint of white cake in there. That's pretty much all I could get on cold throw so I decided to keep this one to see how it would smell like once it was warmed.

Warm Throw: In the end this one did end up smelling like everything described in the description. The first thing I smell is butter, then there is this cake like base mixed with nutmeg and a dash of ginger. The cinnamon and vanilla notes blend so well into the mixture that they practically disappear. I like that this isn't overly sweet. It is still an obvious cake fragrance, but there is a lot more to it then just a white cake base that most of the cake like scents have. Smells like a real red velvet cake. The throw on this one was pretty good as well.

Pineapple Upside Down Cake:
Color: Pineapple Yellow
Cold Throw: Under the master fragrance list this one is just labeled as Pineapple Cake if you were looking for it but couldn't find it. That's exactly what this smells like on cold throw. Smells like legit pineapple upside down cake. I get a strong baked pineapples smell with a base of delicious cake. I was surprised I liked this one so much because I'm not a huge fan of pineapple scents in general, but the bakery kick this one has just makes me love it all the more. When I picked this one out of the box I was like "Oh yes! You are staying here with me!" I think I like it so much because it feels nostaligic. My mother and grandmother used to make pineapple upside down cakes a lot when I was younger. It was one of the few cake choices that me and my brothers all agreed on liking.

Warm Throw: The sweet baked pineapples really takes over this scent and pwns the cake notes that you smell on cold throw. The cake base that was apparant on cold almost disappears because a strong note of cherries comes out as well. The marashino cherries and the bakery pineapples combine to make one new scent that stands out among the rest. The scent throw on this puppy is STRONG. It filled up my bedroom and I could still smell it in the living room. I personally liked this one more on cold throw because I got more of the cakey notes that made me think of pineapple upside down cake, but when it is warmed up it just smells more like pineapples and cherries with a slight bakery note.
The above were all pretty yummy!

Fruity bakery scents...
Jelly Donut:
Color: Dark Maroon
Cold Throw: Smells pretty much just like it's namesake. I get a mixture of strawberry and grape jelly jam even though the description just lists strawberry jam. Underneath the jelly fragrances is this base of fried dough. It is really subtle and you kind of have to search for it because the jelly is the main fragrance you get at first, but it is definitely there when you look for it.

Warm Throw: Mmmm donuts... This is a dead on perfect jelly donut fragrance. This is so real smelling I can't even. I get equal parts delicious fried dough with a gooey jelly filling. I know it is strawberry jam, but it still smells like grape jam to me instead. I'm really glad that the fried dough comes out more once warmed because it makes this one more bakery instead of fruity. The scent throw on this baby is on the stronger side. This is a truly novel scent that is perfect for breakfast time or just for that special donut lover in your life. I'm really surprised I like this one so much because I'm not that fond of eating jelly donuts.

Chocolate Strawberries:
Color: Mahogany
Cold Throw: This one smells like Victoria's fresh picked strawberry mixed with her usual "chocolate" smell. Despite me not being a fan of artificial chocolate scents I rather like this one. It does smell sort of like chocolate covered strawberries if you can get past the fake chocolate scent. It is a pretty simple and straight up fragrance.

Warm Throw: It continues to have that artificial "not really chocolate but we are going to call it that anyway" chocolate scent that I am not really big on. The fresh picked strawberry scent adds something different into the fray without making it too fruity or sweet smelling. Both of the scents are equal and they blend nicely to create one new scent. The scent throw on this one is decently strong as well. Despite me not caring for artificial chocolate scents I don't mind this combination. It smells like it's name suggests.
The above are nice fruity bakery scents.
Plum Streusel:
Color: Plum Purple
Cold Throw: First thing I get is juicy plums and dark berries mixed with what smells like a creamy vanilla base. It also has this bakery note in the bottom of the fragrance that just kind of follows the fruit like an after thought. It's funny because I didn't look up the description for this one until after I had decided to keep it. The description has all these fruits like apples, peaches, bananas, oranges, and an added cinnamon. I don't smell ANY of those at all! I can kind of understand the clove and the grapes, cherries, and strawberries because I think the clove is what adds that bakery scent I smelt at first and the grapes, cherries, and strawberries are probably what combined to create that dark berry smell I get. Despite the name of this one, the description names just about every fruit but plums. Odd considering the main fragrance I smell is plums. The dischord between the description and the actual smell of this has left me very confused lol.

Warm Throw: Despite the total disconnect between the ingrediants and the actual smell this one does indeed smell like a plum streusel to me. I get this really dark fruity fragrance. What I mean by dark is like either plums, grapes, or dark berries. It mainly smells like plums to me though. Then in the undertones I get a baked fried dough smell. Another mystery considering the description says absolutely nothing about dough. All it says is cinnamon, clove, and vanilla. I smell no cinnamon at all in this. And if there is clove it is well disguised. I feel like this is one of those "everything but the kitchen sink" type of fragrances that managed to actually turn itself into a completely new scent entirely. This one is a pretty nice bakery scent though. The throw is just a marginal bit over average. To sum it up it smells like it's namesake.
Scent description says one thing. Smells and is named like something else...
Hawaiian Hula Muffin:
Color: Pineapple Yellow:
Cold Throw: The description on this is really interesting. This one is a mixture of Pineapple, Buttercream Crunch, Caramel, and Cookie. That is a lot of scent combinations! Since I picked this out of the round robin box I wasn't aware of everything it had in it. I just judged on the cold throw and decided to get it. The cold throw smells just like pineapple upside down cake. It has that bakery pineapple smell with a sweet base. I do not at all smell buttercream, caramel, or cookies.

Warm Throw: When this is warmed up I do get a more buttery bakery scent that comes out. There is still a  pineapple smell, but it is toned down by the buttercream crunch, and also by a hint of caramel. I still am not getting any cookie fragrance however. So if there is cookie in this one it has to be a sugar cookie that is just getting swallowed up by the other fragrances. Despite all the scents in this one it isn't overly sweet to me like I figured it would be. I can almost see why it's called hawaiin hula muffin because it does have this bakery background similiar to that of a baked muffin. This one is just okay for me. I don't think I like it well enough to purchase again, but I am also not a big fan of buttery scents. Those of you who are might appreiciate this scent more than I do.
Oh cold throw, you have decieved me once again.

Other random food smelling shots...
Pumpkin Eggnog:
Color: Pumpkin Orange
Cold Throw: I chose to get this one mainly for my mother. She absolutely adores pumpkin scents and she loves to burn them all year round. I myself am pretty neutral on the pumpkin scents. I can take them or leave them really. This one is one that I like a bit better than some of the others I've tried. I like that the richness of the pumpkin is nicely tempered down by the creamy eggnog. The rum adds this slight spice that is different from the typical cinnamon/clove mixture that I typically find in pumpkin scents. A lot of pumpkin scents for me end up smelling very thick and heady while this one smells a smidge less heavy. I think it is the vanilla and rum of the eggnog that just makes this one yummy, but not too rich.

Warm Throw: I like this one a lot more than some of the other pumpkin scents I've tried. The rum in this one actually comes out a lot more once warmed up and it gives the heavy pumpkin this really nice kick without it being spicy smelling. This one ended up being half warm rum scented (not alcohol like in the least though) and half creamy pumpkin. The scent throw on this little guy was really impressive too. I thought it wouldn't be as strong as some of the other pumpkin scents I've tried (they are super throwers!) but this guy did the trick and filled my entire living room and even wafted up the staircase. I think I will like this more around the holidays, but it is still a very nice pumpkin scent. I would reccomend this to those of you who like pumpkin scents, but aren't fans of strong cinnamon or clove.

Bunny Slope:
Color: Milky Pearl White
Cold Throw: This is another one from Candleman's Closet which are a collection of L*** dupes. I have said this before and I will say it again; I have NEVER purchased or even smelt anything from that company. I live in the country and there are no stores anywhere near me so thus I have no idea whether or not this is a perfect dupe of the fragrance it is supposed to be copying. I believe this one is a dupe of Snow Bunny. It is supposed to smell like pure almond icing. A lot of people have said that this one smells like the notorious cherry almond scent that likes to strike certain unsuspecting fragrances and they are absolutely correct. I am not a fan of cherry almond scents, so it came as a surprise to myself when I picked this one out of the round robin box. Despite the cherry almond scent though I did smell a vanilla scent VERY similar to Rock That Vanilla in there as well. If you can remember that far back, I did a review of RTV and I wasn't a big fan of that either. I don't know what intrigues me so much about this scent that is a mixture of two fragrances I don't particularly care for, but I was just compelled to keep it. I don't understand why I do the things I do sometimes and this is another one of those cases...

Warm Throw: Wasn't as bad as I was expecting, in fact it wasn't bad at all. It still holds that slight cherry almond note to it, but it was more almond than cherry. The cherry was like just the faintest hint in the background. I'm not surprised it has a cherry almond not though because the scent is supposed to be almond icing. Icing is not what I smell though. I smell a vanilla that is very similar to Rock That Vanilla. It is sort of a designer vanilla fragrance that typically comes with the territory of that company that shall not be named. The scent throw on this one was pretty decent as well. All in all I'm quite surprised that I wasn't bothered by this one at all. I wouldn't go so far as to say I like it, but it was a nice unique fragrance nonetheless. If you like Snow Bunny from that bath company that rhymes with hush then I think you will like this one too.
Bunny Slope wasn't actually that bad!
Snickerdoodle:
Color: Almond Brown
Cold Throw: I have eyed snickerdoodle for a very long time, almost from the very first time I ordered. I have however held off on buying it because I've been warned that it does not smell anything like real snickerdoodles. Truthfully I have yet to smell anything that smells like true snickerdoodles except for actual snickerdoodles. So when I saw this in the box I grabbed it anyways so I could end the mystery and finally see what it smelt like for myself. On cold throw I get the infamous "Red Hot" cinnamon smell and not much else. I don't smell sugar cookies or any sugar at all for that matter. Just Red Hot cinnamon.

Warm Throw: Warning: this one is a super strong thrower...like assasinate your brain strong! There is a powerful generic suger cookie fragrance, but it doesn't smell like baked sugar cookies, more like the frozen dough that you buy at the supermarket and just place and bake. I get equal parts sugar cookie dough and red hot cinnamon. I guess in the scheme of things it does smell sort of like a snickerdoodle, but I was hoping for something better honestly. I was hoping the cinnamon would be the sweet baking kind instead of the harsh in your face Red Hots kind. I was also hoping that the sugar cookie would be the baked fresh out of the oven kind instead of this doughy smell. I had to actually turn my warmer off because it was so overwhelming it was making my stomach hurt. Sadly this one was just not for me despite my adoration with the real food.
Pretty much my reaction to Snickerdoodle.
That's all for this litte review. I'm really glad that I decided to try something new and give the Round Robin a shot *pun intended*. I found a lot of really great scents that I had over looked countless times before and probably would have continued to ignore otherwise. I've been busy creating a review of my Slap Yo Momma Smoothie Candle so hopefully I will have that up for you guys soon. I hope you guys look forward to it. This will be the only major CBV review I do for this month, but have no fear I already have next month's usual review in the works as we speak. This review was all food based, but next month's review is for the most part all summery scents. I will see you guys next time!

Fortune Cookie Soap Spring 2013 Review!

Fuck Yeah! The FCS spring line is here!
Fortune Cookie Soap launched their official spring 2013 line on March 15th. The collection introduced 8 brand new fragrances all inspired by the scents of springtime. These new additions also showcase FCS's signature humor when it comes to naming their products. The eight new fragrances are A Nod To The Hippies, Dirty Hoe, Down To Earth, Honey-Dew Me, I Wet My Plants, Kiss My Vine, Late Bloomer, and The Birds & The Bees. I only purchased 4 of these scents because the other 4 scents had certain fragrances that I know I am not a fan of. (A Nod To The Hippies has patchouli, Dirty Hoe & Down To Earth are obviously earthy fragrances, and I Wet My Plants has jasmine and baby powder in it. Two scents I'm not fond of.) As I always do I only purchased the 4 scent body butter sampler pack. I like to smell the small individual samples and then chose whether or not the fragrances are worth buying in a full sized product. And without further ado here is my review...
All of this little haul's goodies.
Honey-Dew Me:
Color: Fluorescent Yellow
Scent Description: After I got done giggling at the name I opened this little guy and saw that the body butter was this really bright and vivid fluorescent yellow. Most of FCS's body butters come in these pale pastel shades, but this one is in your face neon yellowish green. It looks like it could glow in the dark. (Sadly it does not though) After I spent the next few minutes just being impressed with the color I finally smelt this and whoa mama is it good! Depite the name it isn't just a honeydew scent, it is more of a sweet melon scent. A lot of melon scents in general tend to pack a very strong punch, but this one is nicely toned down. It is a really fresh fruity fragrance. I get a mixture of honeydew and cantaloupe melons, and in the undertones I can even smell watermelon. The site mentions this one also has apples and vanilla bean. I do not smell those scents individually, but I believe the apples probably blended with the overall wonderful fruitiness and the vanilla bean is probably what rounds out the fruits from smelling too thick or powerful. This is a wonderful fruity scent that is both sweet and refreshing. Perfect for the springtime.
It smells so wonderful!
Kiss My Vine:
Color: Cotton Candy Pink
Scent Description: This one is supposed to smell like strawberries and champagne. I can kind of see how it smells like that, but to be honest when I first opened this I had forgotten what scents were in this. So when I smelt it my first impression was that it smelt like a light floral fragrance. It wasn't until after I looked up the description again that I started to notice that yeah it does kind of smell like strawberries and champagne when you think about it. The champagne scent isn't overly strong or sharply alcohol smelling like I feel a lot of "champagne" fragrances end up smelling like. The strawberries aren't really all that fruity either. They mix and blend in with the champagne to the point where they are almost indiscernable. If you were blindfolded and asked what fruit was in this, you probably wouldn't have guessed strawberries...at least I know I wouldn't have. This is a feminine scent that reminds me of an expensive bubble bath. It is certainly a different take on a springtime scent, but it is nicely done.

Not your typical springtime scent, but still lovely.
Late Bloomer:Color: Mint Green
Scent Description:  I was a little leary about this one when ordering because it has Polynesian Hibiscus, ripe berries, white amber, and vanilla. The reason I was hesitant is because I cannot do strong florals, overly dark berry scents, or too woodsy earthy scents. Luckily this fragrance isn't any of those. The main note in this one is a vanilla that is warmed up by the white amber. I smell the faintest trace of a soft smelling flower, but that's it. I don't get berries in this at all. There is nothing fruity about this scent in the least. The scent throw on this one is kind of weak. You can't really smell it until you rub it into the skin. It kind of smells like a fresh, clean, and natural lotion to me. Not my favorite of the bunch, but it is still nice.

It was nice, but not my favorite.
The Birds & The Bees:
Color: Robin's Egg Blue
Scent Description: The official description for this one is incredibly vague. The site just says "Dont worry, we're not going to give you "the talk". But we will give you a sweet and fruity FCS."...that's it. Needless to say I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this one. I will tell you the first thing I smelt was artificial strawberries. Not the signature Laffy Taffy kind that is in FCS other strawberry fragrances though. It also has this vanilla cream like base to it. So it is kind of like strawberries and cream. It kind of reminds me of one of those Creme Savers Hard Candies. It is fruity and sweet and oh so creamy. I also happened to get half a robin's egg bath fizzy in this fragrance as my free sample. The egg shape makes it so very cute.

To wrap things up...
In closing I feel like this year's spring line was great. I like that they took a different angle on their scents instead of doing the generic run of the mill flowers and peeps/jellybean candy type fragrances that a lot of companies tend to recycle year after year. I ended up liking all four of the scents that I purchased which doesn't happen often. Usually there is at least one that my nose ends up hating, but happily that was not the case this time around. If I had to reccommend one above all the others I would say go for Honey-Dew Me. It is just a fresh melon explosion and it is fruity without being too in your face. I love it! The scents that I purchased are all for sale currently on their website, but you guys better hurry and try them now and stock up before the summer line comes around. That's all for this year's first Fortune Cookie Soap review. I will be back with another one as soon as the summer line lauches. Keep looking back for my review of a Candles By Victoria Smore's Galore speciality candle. Until then take care guys and keep it pretty!

Love Victoria Candle in Gem Blue Glitter!

Because who doesn't want more glitter?
Hello again internet friends! When I recieved my Superbowl CBV sale I was super excited because I ordered for the first time a Love Victoria candle. I chose to get the scent Bubble Gum in gem blue glitter. It was hard to narrow it down to one scent but I wanted to get a scent that I knew I wouldn't get sick of smelling no matter what season or time of day. I tend to have scent ADD. I will love one scent for like a week and then I will smell another and that one will become my favorite and I end up hopping around after scents like the Trix rabbit. In the end Bubble Gum was the scent left standing, since I don't think I will ever not like it. It's such a simple fragrance, but it brings back a lot of childhood memories for me so I'm always smiling when I smell it. Plus I've yet to meet a person who hates the smell of bubble gum. It may not be some people's favorite, but nobody hates it.
Gem Blue in natural light.
It was so hard for me to chose what color glitter I wanted. I watched countless videos on Youtube and scoured the Pouring Pot glitter thread. All of the colors though were so very sparkly and so very very pretty. I was torn between quite a few of the choices and I agonized over it for days! (okay more like just 2 days) In the end I decided to go with a color that would match my bedroom. My bedroom walls are painted a pale sky blue color while one wall of mine has a cherry blossom decal mural. (See picture below; although my walls are a slight darker shade of blue; the flash on the camera washed the color out a bit)
The wall just above my bed for reference...
In the end I was torn between gem blue and jeweled bright pink. Obviously I opted for gem blue. I don't in any way regret my decision. It is such a beautiful color. The blue is actually closer colored to my walls then they look in the pictures I took. (What's wrong with you camera flash?!)  The pictures make it look almost aquamarine, but it really isn't. It's actually more like the Crayola color Blue Grey.  It has micro-flecks of aquamarine glitter in it though along with silver and gold. The end result kind of reminds me of Zoya's Crystal nail polish or OPI's Reflecting Pool. The glitter really pops when the light touches it although my sucky camera does it NO justice at all. (I wish I had an HD camera so I could show you all the true awesomeness of the glitter.)
In indoor light. (once again my camera makes it look darker)

Note the size
After getting over the initial amazement of the stunning glitter I noticed that it wasn't as big as I initially thought. For some reason after seeing some pictures I was under the impression it would be taller and not as wide, but it isn't very tall. (I did not read on the website where it says it is 4 inches tall lol) I actually took out a dvd box that I had and held it up length wise and this candle stands at almost exactly half the height of a dvd box. So if you were wondering just how tall the candle is, but haven't purchased one yet yourself just take out a standard dvd case and hold it up length wise, cut that height in half and you will have your answer. (Yes, I know how unorthadox my measuring methods are) Though it isn't very tall length wise it has a great width. It's a nice almost "chubby" candle. It's very wide around the brim so you are getting a whole lot of wax. I am actually glad it isn't as tall as I was expecting because it makes storage a lot easier. The shape and size make it easy to fit in smaller shelf spaces or drawers. Mine however is taking up residence on my bedroom dresser.

I had to trim the wicks, but they set up nicely after that.
The candle is double wicked, however it did take a while for the wax to melt all the way to the edges. When I first lit my candle I hadn't trimmed the wicks since they looked pretty decent sized. That turned out to be a mistake though. As soon as I lit it I had two tall flames that trailed black smoke up to my ceiling like a train exhaust engine. I was worried I had gotten a candle that had the wrong wick size since sometimes that can happen so I immediately blew it out. After going back on the Pouring Pot and scouring the boards for threads based on similar topics I found that I was supposed to trim the wicks before lighting it. Once I trimmed the wicks even smaller to where it was just a tad bit above the wax, my candle lit beautifully without any black smoke whatsoever. So like they always say TRIM YOUR WICKS even if it is the first time you are burning it. I do have to say that the bubble gum fragrance was much stronger in scent shot form. I can still get a whiff of the bubble gum fragrance that I love, but it is very weak compared to scent shot form. I know that in general scent shots are stronger in fragrance because they are samples that are packed with oils, but I really was hoping my candle would be stronger than it is. I will probably light it more for looks than for smell. Perhaps I will light it and melt a forth of a bubble gum scent shot just to give it that punch that I was looking for. Despite the lackluster scent throw I am happy with my purchase. It looks so pretty sitting on my dresser and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it.

So in conclusion...
For the amount of wax you get and for the pretty element alone these candles are a great deal for the price. I would say if you are looking to purchase one of these for the first time get something that you know has a really strong scent throw otherwise you might not think it so worth it in the end. So take your time when choosing a scent. And of course even if the wick looks small and fine already, trim them before lighting. It makes a world of difference! I will probably be ordering more glitter candles in the future although I will make sure I pick a better scent. Right now I'm thinking about getting a glitter tureen in either Twilight Woods or Cinnabon...maybe both who knows. Have any of you guys had either of those scents in candle forms? If so please let me know how good the scent throw was on them. Well that concludes this rather long winded post. I hope you all enjoyed the candle porn pictures. And for those of you who have yet to purchase a Love Victoria candle yet were curious I hope you found this informative. Until my next review guys, bye!

Hit Me With Your Best Shot!

Time For Another Round Of Scent Shots!
Hello again everyone. I came to the conclusion that I didn't like how I set up my last review and thus have decided to try and mix the old way I used to do my reviews with the new way. As you will see the shots will still be divided up by the categories they are placed in under the master fragrance list, but I will arrange them in order from the ones I like to the ones I don't while still including more fun gifs to giggle at.
First Up Are The Bakery Scents!
Raspberry Zinger:
Color: Crayola's Maroon
Cold Throw: This is a really juicy fruity smell. You get the edge of citrus from the key limes, but the tartness is tampered down by the pure juicy sweetness of the wild raspberries. It has a really nice kick to it that I find a lot of the lime like scents have. This kind of reminds me of a really yummy gum I used to chew when I was a kid, but I can't remember the name of it. This one is really fruity and sweet. So if you like Victoria's raspberry scents or even her lime scents like Fizzy Pop then you might want to give this one a try.

Warm Throw: So this one is really great. It keeps it's wonderful juiciness. The name is actually really perfect for this scent because the raspberries give the fragrance this really juicy sweetness while the limes round it out by giving it this nice zing that gives it a kick and keeps it from being too sweet. The scent throw on this one is moderate to strong. Not exactly in your face, but it's definitely noticeable.

Fair Day:
Color: Milk Chocolate Brown
Cold Throw: So this is a combination of Caramel Apple and Cotton Candy. On cold throw I mainly smell the rich warm caramel with just the faintest whispers of tart green apples and sweet fluffy cotton candy underneath. I have to say the cold throw is really kind of weak so it's hard to sniff out anything other than the yummy caramel, but when you close your eyes and inhale you can make out the apples and cotton candy burried underneath there.

Warm Throw: This is a bit more on the milder side of scents that I've tried. I will have to remember to burn more than a quarter at a time for a better throw. That being said this was a pretty good fragrance. I mainly smelled the caramel over all things, but it had an undercurrent of the sugary sweet cotton candy. The tart green apples were mostly lost in the overall throw, but if you closed your eyes and inhaled deeply you could find it, but if you weren't trying you would never guess they were in there. This is another mixture I find totally unique. I've never smelt caramel cotton candy in wax form before. Then again I've never eaten caramel cotton candy before either...

Caramel Apple:
Color: Saddle Brown
Cold Throw: Once again we have another scent that does justice to it's namesake. I smell real crisp green apples layered with warm and thick caramel. On cold throw alone the green apples seem to be the more dominant of the two fragrances, but the caramel is still noticeable. This fragrance is sweet and simple just like the yummy treat it represents.

Warm Throw: When this one is warmed up all I smell is rich caramel with just the faintest touch of the green apples. The warm caramel dominates this scent, but there is a tiny hint of the apples in there. I liked this one better on cold throw because the green apple notes were more noticeable. Despite that, if you are a big caramel fan and not so big on strong apple scents then this little guy is your new best friend. This one had a meduim average scent throw.

Honeybee:
Color: Dandelion Yellow
Cold Throw: Am I the only one thinking of the Blake Shelton song when I see this? Anyways, I mainly get a mixture of floral notes in this one with a hint of a sweeter background. I can pick out rose, which is a scent I am not very fond of, but it is slight and tempered down by an airy floral that smells to me like honeysuckle though I could be wrong. There is the faintest hint of orange zest in there, but it is pretty much swallowed up by the floral. While the floral isnt overly strong it still is the main note that I get. I don't get any cinnamon at all with this one.

Warm Throw: I really thought that this one was going to be one I would never burn again, but it actually surprised me. The honey notes which seemed non-existent on cold throw turned out to be the main fragrance note when warmed up. I still get a little bit of the rose undertones but it isn't strong like it was before it was warmed. The cinnamon remains missing in action though and the scent throw is a little on the weaker side so be sure to use at least half a scent shot if you really want it to fill the room.To me this one smells like Bath Time With Pooh only with a slight floral background.
Me Gusta!
Root Beer:
Color: Root Beer Brown
Cold Throw: This is yet another dead on scent. It smells just like straight up Root Beer. It could be a perfect dupe for A&W, IBC, or Barqs Root Beer. It has that sweet tangy kick to it that the real beverage has and I like that it doesn't smell weak. It is a strong Root Beer fragrance.

Warm Throw: I really liked this on cold throw, but when warmed up I still get the yummy Root Beer fragrance, but there is a strong undercurrent of spice that smells a lot like anise to me and I DESPISE anise with the passion of a million burning suns! I'm not sure if I just got a dud or what, but I had to turn off my warmer because I just can't handle even the slightest bit of anise. Such a shame because I really wanted to like this one too. However if a little bit of anise doesn't bother you then you might like this one more than I do.
..Anise...I just can't...

Clean, Floral, & Earthy...
Mango Tango:
Color: Crayola's Mango Tango lol
Cold Thow: So this is another dupe for a Gain laundry detergeant. I had tried Gain Island Fresh before and while it was a nice scent I found it was a bit too clean smelling for me. A bunch of people recommended I try Mango Tango instead because it is sweeter. So now that I have it I can understand why people like it so much. It is still a clean type fragrance, but it has this soft sweetness underneath it. I get the clean detergeant smell, but it sits on top of light fruity notes and soft florals. All the fragrances mix really well together to create an entirely new scent. This one's really nice if you are like me and like clean scents, but don't want that harsh detergeant or chemical cleaner smell.

Warm Throw: This has got to be my favorite in the clean category out of everything I've tried so far. It is nice and fruity, yet still it has that clean freshness to it that keeps it from being too harsh and detergeant like. Everybody who came over and smelled my living room liked it. It's so lovely and refreshing. I'm really glad I tried this one. From now on when I want my house to smell clean, but don't feel like actually cleaning it I'm going to pop one of these babies in the tart warmer. The throw on this one was pretty decent as well.

Butt Naked:
Color: Pearl White
Cold Throw: Truthfully I just wanted to try this one because I got a kick out of the name lol. This is a very citrusy scent. I get a blend of lemons and limes, with a hint of orange in there somewhere. There is this house cleaner scent underneath it all though. The teakwood doesn't make it smell earthy at all, instead this just smells like something fresh and citrusy that I would use to mop my floors with. It's nice if you are a fan of light cirtus clean fragrances.

Warm Throw: This one continued to smell like a light house cleaner to me although the lime and orange scents vanished completely and were ultimately replaced by the lemons. This one kind of reminds me of the dusting cleaner Pledge only not as chemical or heavy smelling and with a touch of sweetness. I thought at first I was crazy to think it smelt like that and it was propbably just my brain's subconscious way of telling me to stop procrastinating and to dust the house, but then my mom came into the room and blatantly asked if I was dusting or just burning something to make it smell that way...oh mom you know me and my hatred for dusting too well...
The moment you realize you still have to clean your house...

Pomegranate Oak:
Color: Plum
Cold Throw: This is one of the newer scents that CBV has come out with. Being a fan of Apples And Oaks I had to give this one a try. On cold throw however I don't get any of the wonderful oak smell that I get in Apples And Oaks. This doesn't smell earthy at all cold. Instead I mainly just get a really really sweet artificial pomegranate syrup. The scent reminds me of something, like pomegranate Kool-Aid powder mixed with Caro syrup. It's not bad, but wasn't at all what I was expecting.

Warm Throw: This one ended up smelling like two things to me. The first thing that came to mind were those little MIO things that are basically flavored syrup that you put in water to trick your tastebuds into thinking that you aren't actually drinking water. And the second thing that came to mind was children's cough syrup. It just is a heavy artificial fruit syrup kind of smell to me. It has absolutely no oak in it that my nostrils can scent out. I am not a fan of MIO or children's cough syrup so sadly my nose was not a fan of this scent either.

Magnolia Blossom:
Color: Blush Pink
Cold Throw: Truthfully speaking, I've never really stopped and smelt a true magnolia so I can't say for sure if this is a perfect magnolia scent, but I will tell you what I do get. It is undeniably a straight up floral, not a mixture of a bunch of florals, but just one consistent flower. The throw on this one is really strong! Truthfully it smells just like I picked up a real flower and smelt it. There isn't a hint of artificial floral smell in here at all. I'm guessing that this is a perfect dupe for a real magnolia. I think true magnolia lovers would not be disappointed.

Warm Throw: I'll be honest and say that I did not end up burning this one because certain floral scents tend to give me a headache. While I thought that the scent on cold throw was nice, I could just tell that this fragrance was going to be one that, once I burned it, would drift up through my nose and sucker punch me right in the brain. The scent throw is so strong cold that I just know it would be an instant headache inducer. So I decided to spare myself and my brain the scent assault and instead keep it whole and pretty to swap in the round robin. Hopefully someone who isn't such a scent sissy like me will enjoy it more.
Cough syrup and heavy florals? Get them away!

Now Onto The Fruity Fragrances...
Champagne Pomegranate:
Color: Crayloa's Razzmatazz
Cold Throw: So this is a combination of Fizzy Pop and Pomegranate. I have to say that is exactly what I smell. I get the carbonated bubbles from the Fizzy Pop that tickle my nose, however the citrusy notes are covered up completely by the sweet fruityness of the Pomegranates. This doesn't have a sharp gross alcohol like smell at all like real champagne or typical champagne like fragrances tend to have. It is a sweet juicy tingly fragrance.

Warm Throw: The Fizzy Pop part of the fragrance comes out a bit stronger than the Pomegranate, but it's still a pretty equal mix as far as over all scent throw goes. I get a slightly sweet bubbly champagne smell. It's a really uniqe fragrance that I don't think you could get from most candle companies. The name is really accurate and the scent throw is decently strong. So if you like that tingly effervescent kick that Fizzy Pop has, but aren't too into the lemony lime scent that goes with it you might just want to give this one a try.

Green Apple:
Color: Jaded Green
Cold Throw: This is a tart yet sweet green apple fragrance. It reminds me a little bit of Sour Apple Jolly Rangers. It's more sweet than tart, but you still get that sharp tartiness right at the edge of all the sweetness. I like this one because while it is an apple scent it isn't as sweet or crisp smelling like a lot of them tend to be. This one pretty much lives up to it's name and description.

Warm Throw: The throw on this one smelled pretty much the same as on cold throw only a smidge less sweet. While I really like this fragrance I noticed the scent throw was a little less than medium. Next time I'm going to have to use half the scent shot instead of my usual quarter because the scent didn't last very long in my warmer. I also happened to notice that this is the same green apple smell that is used in the other CBV fragrance Apple Vanilla. It's nice, but a little on the weak side.

Raspberry Guava:
Color: Crayola's Jazzberry Jam
Cold Throw: This one is a really juicy fruity type fragrance that's hard to describe exactly. If you have ever tried Sugar Kisses then you will be able to pinpoint the Raspberry Guava immediatley, but if you haven't then it gets a little tricky. It is a sweet almost candy like raspberry fragrance, but with a really juicy base to it. I'm finding most of Victoria's raspberry scents are on the really sweet side as opposed to the tart fragrance of the real things. If you like Victoria's raspberry scents like I do then you will love this one.

Warm Throw: Smells to me like an artificial candy syrup like raspberry rounded out with a thicker juicy base that gives it a nice depth to it. It's true to the cold throw and is just a really sweet and fruity candied raspberry scent. The throw on this one isn't bad, but I feel like it's better used in smaller or closed off rooms. I don't think the throw would be as good in an open and wide space. I'm finding that I have yet to come across one of Victoria's raspberry scents that I haven't liked. Still there is a lot more to try.
I Was Not Disappointed With Any Of The Fruity Scents.

Houseblends!
Tokyo Spring:
Color: Pacific Blue
Cold Throw: I have to admit that I'm always leary when I try any scent with florals in the description, however I had heard such rave reviews about this one even from avid floral haters that I had to try it for myself and I'm so glad I did. I get a strong whiff of pure fresh air coupled with a very toned down melon scent sitting on top of a bed of very pretty and gentle florals. This is a very refreshing and lovely scent. It's light and sweet without being sugary sweet. Smells AMAZING! Perfect for the spring time.

Warm Throw: The honeydew comes out more once it's warmed up, but it is in no way overpowering. I still get the fresh and pretty florals in the undercurrents. The scent throw on this one is on the stronger side, but it doesn't feel like you just got punched in the nose by the fragrance. It's just all around a very fresh and lovely springtime scent. If you aren't very big on florals, but like fruity airy fragrances and are looking to broaden your scent horizons then I would reccomend you try this one!

Hell On Heels:
Color: Dark Brick Red
Cold Throw: This one is another one that's tricky to describe because it has a lot going on. I mainly get blood orange (like a dark orange not a refreshing orange juice orange) with a background of feminine musk. To me this is a "darker" more sensual smelling woman's perfume smell. You get the dark fruity fragrance that sits atop the musk nicely without one scent overpowering the other. Just a musky and sweet perfume scent.

Warm Throw: Smells pretty much the same on warm throw only the musk is toned down and the fruity notes are a bit more noticeable. I have to say what comes to mind when I smell this is a high-maintenace woman in chic clothing and fabulous high heels walking past me and this is the perfume she wears that lingers after she's gone. Hey don't judge me, judge my imagination. It tends to do whatever it wants anyway... Still it's like a really fruity and sensual woman's perfume.
Both scents are very pretty, just in very different ways.

Sonny & Cher:
Color: Crayola's Razzmatazz
Cold Throw: I have to say this one is probably one of the more unique fragrances I've had from CBV. I get a cool minty tone with a bamboo top note. On closer inspection I also get a hint of the verbana around the edges. This is a really different and complex scent with a pretty good cold throw. This scent to me feels like a heavier spa like fragrance.

Warm Throw: Sadly I wanted to like this one more than I do. I love minty smells so I thought this one would be right up my alley but I don't know if it's the verbana or the bamboo that puts me off. It's not a bad scent by any means, just not one that I care for. I think the complicated mixture of scents just makes my nose want to cry. The scent isn't anything too over-powering or anything, you just kind of get mint with a spa like bamboo fragrance. I can see a lot of other people really liking this one, it's just not to my taste.

Not bad, but not great either...

Perfume & Tropical Fragrances...
Pink Sugar:
Color: Crayola's Jazzberry Jam
Cold Throw: So this is an Aquolina perfume dupe. I do have a small sample bottle of this particular fragrance and comparing them I can definitely tell that they are the same fragrance, however Victoria's version is stronger. I get that real sugary cotton candy like base mixed with candylike fruit notes with just the tiniest hint of musk underneath. For those of you like me who are instantly turned off by the word "musk" let me assure you that it is very faint and doesn't smell manly or old and thick in the least. (I personally tend to think of mothballs and sweat when I hear the word musk) This scent is super girly and sweet smelling. So if you are a fan of the perfume or just really sugary sweet scents in general then this one is for you.

Warm Throw: Smells pretty much the same on warm throw as it did on cold throw only not quite as strong. This is one of those smells that I think make better mixers than just plain burners. I might have to get a little creative and play around with this one. (Puts on labcoat and mad scientist gloves) It's just a sugary sweet girlish perfume fragrance. The scent throw was decent, but not anything to write home about.

Hawaiian Splash:
Color:Faded Navy Blue
Cold Throw: This one smells just like fruit punch. I wouldn't say it's a perfect dupe of Hawaiiain Punch, because I think Hawaiian Punch has a more artificial syrupy sweet smell while this one has a more real and true smelling straight up tropical fruit punch fragrance. It's really fruity and has a pretty strong cold throw.

Warm Throw: First off I have to say that this baby is STRONG! It has an amazing scent throw. The aroma started to fill my living room before I even turned my warmer on. I feel the same as I did on cold throw with this one and that is that while it smells just like a tropical fruit punch, it doesn't smell exactly like Hawaiiain Punch because it lacks that really sweet artificial syrup element that the real drink has. Still if you are looking for a summer time scent that is unique and fun and you like the smell of fruit punch then this little fella deserves an invite to your next pool party. (Hey, kiddy pools count as pools too.)
Not bad. I could take them or leave them.
Cherry Blossom:
Color: Dark Raspberry
Cold Throw: This is a another dupe for a Bath & Body Works scent. I get a powdery floral scent with a background whiff of dry white rice with the faintest hint of something sweet and woodsy like Twilight Woods. (Perhaps just wishful thinking on my part on that last bit) As it had time to cure I noticed a slight spice show up as well. It is notifiably asian smelling, but a bit too old lady make-up powder smelling for me. The scent throw on cold is a marginal bit over medium.

Warm Throw: This is another one that I'm choosing to swap instead of burn. It wasn't a bad scent in any way. I'm sure I could have melted it and not have been too put off by it, but I really just did not want my house to smell like the old lady wearing a spice perfume and too much beauty powder that I imagined in my head. That's the image my mind invoked everytime I opened the container and I just couldn't get past it. I know a lot of people don't have as strange a mind as I do so I'm sending Cherry Blossom off in the Round Robin for someone else to enjoy.
Yes, I'm fully aware of just how crazy that last description sounded...
That conclude this month's scent reviews. I hope you like the new layout of how I'm setting the reviews up. I hope it is at least a little more organized looking than it was before. I know last month's was a total disaster lol. I'm aware that some of the reviews were kind of crazy, but blame it on a busy schedule and not enough sleep. Hopefully some of you guys found a new scent to add to your try lists and if you didn't then at least I hope you got a few kicks out of all the GIF's. That's a wrap for now. Until next month's review see you all later!
